Culinary Expert at F&B Heroes

It all started with a bite into a sunny-sweet Honeydew melon in the Lone Star State Texas. That's when Antje’s passion for food, for cooking, for hospitality and for good products got ignited. To set herself up professionally, Antje took an apprenticeship as a chef in a Michelin-starred Restaurant and a Hotel Cuisine in Bremen, Germany. To intensify her interest and joy in science and economy she studied “Food & Economics” at the JLU Gießen, Germany with a thesis on marketing and controlling in the event catering business. To keep things cooking, Antje was working as a pâtissière for the reknown avantgarde chef Heiko Antoniewicz in the evenings and weekends. Her positions as product manager for “Deutsche See”, Germany’s leading Manufacturer for fish and seafood, was Antje’s first role in the industry with a look at gastronomy through the lense of marketing, sales and communication.

After leading event venues, manufactures, restaurants and hotels in Germany Antje left the country to lead a hotel kitchen in Norway. As of this moment she decided to start her own business travelling the world, learning, teaching, writing and following her mission to “connect and inspire people through food”.

Together with the food business consultants “F&B heroes” she is part of the development of various food businesses in Germany and Europe. Antje's part is food strategy development, concept development and culinary identity design. She is fascinated by developing ideas and concepts and making them work together with multi-facetted teams to create structured processes, creative cuisines, healthy and sustainable businesses and touching customer experiences.Together with star-photographer Vivi D’Angelo Antje enjoys developing and designing recipes, visuals and culinary books.

She sets up Pop-ups, Events and culinary installations together with partner agencies „Sweet Sneak Studio“, “Blank Space Projects”, “Hej Studios” and „Food Apartment”. As “food connector” Antje is part of the “foodlab. Hamburg”, a creative food start-up hub.

Antje is inspired by the countries, cultures and cuisines and – most importantly – the people she meets on her journeys through the culinary world, all of which fuel her on her mission to connect and inspire people through food!
