Co-founder and CTO of Bon Vivant
Agriculture and food agronomist, Hélène Briand is specialized in food production methods to rethink models that are more sustainable. She trained for six years in Asia (Malaysia, India, etc.) with the ambition of proposing a more efficient and environmentally friendly agricultural model, thanks to a reduction in the use of antibiotics. Very quickly, she identified the opportunity of alternative proteins, and joined the Entofood team (Veolia), within which she ensured the scaling up of insect farms. Convinced that these alternative proteins are a sustainable solution to our current diet, she co-founded the company Bon Vivant, with Stéphane Mac Millan (Foodora).
Bon Vivant is a biotechnology company founded in 2020 by Stéphane Mac Millan and Hélène Briand, which uses precision fermentation to produce animal-free dairy products. This alternative mode of production aims to provide a complementary, sustainable and nutritious food solution to be able to feed a population that will be close to 10 billion human beings in 2050.
