The New Food Conference made a dynamic return for its sixth edition on September 3, 2024, capturing both Berlin and a global online audience alike. Over 350 passionate food innovators, entrepreneurs, and enthusiasts gathered to explore the forefront of alternative proteins and sustainable food systems.
The day was packed with thought-provoking panels, exciting start-up pitches, and delicious sustainable cuisine. Industry leaders sparked meaningful discussions on crucial topics shaping the future of food, from plant-based product trends and meat consumption in Europe to advances in precision-fermentation dairy. Key conversations also covered the "silent transition" in food ingredients, innovative swaps, and strategies to nudge consumers toward more sustainable choices, along with other interesting topics.
The ProVeg Incubator Startup Demo Day was a special highlight for many, where pioneering food-tech start-ups pitched their groundbreaking ideas.
Throughout the event, attendees enjoyed an energising breakfast from California Walnuts, tasty lunch by Lidl, and savoury dinner by The Vegetarian Butcher. The special networking evening at the stunning Spreespeicher Berlin allowed participants to wind down, connect with fellow changemakers, and take in the breathtaking views of the city.
