Shuman Liu is the Co-founder & CCO of STARFIELD. She became vegetarian while studying anthropology in Hong Kong. After investigating into the social and environmental consequences of contemporary meat-heavy diet, she determined to dedicate her life to advocating a plant-based lifestyle. Shuman went to Natural Gourmet Institute, NYC, to receive professional health-supportive culinary training in 2016, and has been working in the industry since then. Shuman co-founded Starfield in 2019. Starfield is China’s leading plant-based meat company, with more than 100 food service partners, including Hey Tea, Dicos, Family Mart, Tim Hortons, etc.. The mission of Starfield is using food technologies to benefit nature and human health.
