Owner of VBites Group
After Heather lost her leg in 1993, she was told she had to go vegan because it would help heal the infection on her leg, created by a road traffic amputation. She had become frustrated with the lack of choice available for meat alternative products such as burgers and hotdogs. Subsequently, she founded the pioneering international plant-based ethical vegan food company, VBites, which now exports to 24 countries, offering 130 plant-based products and has won 80 awards. Alongside this, she holds 4 world records, becoming the fastest disabled woman on the planet by achieving 166.84km/h in speed skiing. She is big proponent of charity, co-founding the largest landmine clearing and prosthetic assistance charity in the world. With her team, she has cleared over 21,000,000m^2 of mine-filled land and assisted over 400,000 amputees and people affected in war-torn countries.
