Sebastian is dedicated to finding solutions for the broken seafood supply system in order to reinstall a balance in our oceans. As experienced marine biotechnologist, with a strong research background in marine biology and aquaculture and a Doctorate in Biotechnology, he has been working with fish cells and applied science for over a decade and led the team that did preparatory research on cell-based fish meat at the Fraunhofer Research Institution for Marine Biotechnology and Cell Technology (EMB) in Germany. In order to create a positive impact beyond the realm of research, he decided to translate his experiences into real products and launched Europe‘s first cell-based fish company Bluu GmbH in 2020.
