Christiane Seidel heads the Food Team at the Federation of German Consumer Organisations (vzbv). Prior to this, she worked as a policy officer at vzbv’s Brussels office and as a research associate in the German Bundestag. She studied Political Science in Bruges, Frankfurt (Oder), and Strasbourg. Together with her team, she is committed to making everyday life more sustainable, affordable, and fair for consumers—whether at the supermarket checkout, in restaurants, or in canteens.
