Scientist at Mosa Meat

Sophie works as a Scientist at Mosa Meat, a company that aims to produce and commercialise cultivated beef. For the past five years she has been focusing on both bioprocess optimisation and medium development, a hybrid project that aims to ultimately minimise resource use and costs for the production processes of cultured meat. To this end, she focuses on medium use optimisation, continuous feeding strategies and metabolic waste reduction of primary stem cells in bioreactor cultures. She holds a degree in Food Science and Technology and is currently in the last stages of finalising her PhD.
