US Executive Director at ProVeg International
Michael Webermann is the US Executive Director of ProVeg International, a global food awareness organization working to replace conventional animal agriculture with plant-based and cultivated alternatives. For the past 12 years, Michael has brought an innovative and results-focused approach to the food awareness movement. He is the co-founder and former Strategic Director of Better Eating International, a US-based nonprofit which promotes plant-based eating with targeted digital media campaigns. Prior to this role, he served for over 7 years at Farm Animal Rights Movement (FARM), concluding as Executive Director, where he refocused their mission towards sparing the most possible animals from being raised for food.
He holds a degree from Evergreen State College in Environmental Economics and Policy, serves on the advisory board of several like-minded organizations, has spoken publicly in the US, Europe, and India on effective advocacy, and has been interviewed for NPR, TIME, Al Jazeera, and other global media outlets.
