Principal Strategist at Forum for the Future

Vi Nguyen is Forum for the Future’s Principal Strategist (Sustainable Finance) and leads the design and implementation of systems change programmes across Forum’s key thematic areas, in particularenergy transition and food system transformation. Her focus is on the role and impact of sustainablefinance in enabling deep transitions towards just and regenerative systems. Leveraging off her nearlytwo decades of banking and finance experience gained from working for major banks and financial institutions in Asia and Australia as an investment strategist, a trader, and as a research analyst on both the buy and sell sides, Vi specialises in engagement with the private sector and financial sector actors to address some of the world’s most pressing sustainability challenges.Prior to joining Forum, Vi was the Director of Research and Lead in Sustainable Protein at Asia Research and Engagement (ARE), where she helped lead their work across Asia, advocating for transition towards more sustainable policies and practices. She was also on the panel of consultants for Square Associates, a strategic and financial consultancy, serving as their specialist in sustainability and impact investment.
